The old dirt road to Grandma and Grandpa’s house was a religious experience, peaceful and serene. As we got nearer the old hand built log cabin, excitement grew as our Aunts and Uncles and cousins were there too. “Let the fun begin!” From Austin, Texas to Flippin, Arkansas took about a day and a half of driving the mountain roads. I could tell when we were out of Texas, as the roads in Arkansas were rough and the air was filled with the fragrance of pine (trees). I knew when we were near the old dirt road when we rounded the last mountain and drove down a very steep incline. Scary!

Sounds like a great family and religious experience. The air of the mountains and the pine trees sounded very regal and the whole journey seemed like a great getaway. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

What paint did you use water color? It is a bit blurry but it adds to its character. That said I will be scared too because it seems creepy to in my opinion. Good job with this.
